We are a community of local women brought together by motherhood, and our members come from all backgrounds and kinds of families. Some of us work outside the home while some mom full time, and we have kids who range in age from newborns through high school. Our membership includes a handful of “mentor MUMs,” who are now grandmothers, and offer experienced perspectives on much of what we all go through.
We meet every other week from September through May at the Los Altos United Methodist Church on Wednesday mornings from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. While the church generously provides us meeting space, we aren’t a religious group, and we mainly use the time to catch up with friends and get to know new ones. As well, we regularly host speakers and take part in philanthropic activities that help the local community. Infants are welcome at meetings, and we offer on-site professional childcare for older babies, toddlers, and preschoolers so you can enjoy a few hours of “me” time while connecting with friends.
We are run by members, for members, and everyone helps out in some way with the meetings or other activities during the year. For members who can’t make the Wednesday meetings, we also get together for regular moms’ nights out, a book club, game nights, daytime playgroups, and other gatherings that members organize.
Want to know more? See our FAQs, or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. You are also welcome to drop in to one of our Wednesday meetings (just be sure to RSVP ahead of time via email if you need childcare.) Hope to see you soon!
